Sekhukhune United gaffer Brandon Truter has outlined what he expects from Kaizer Chiefs when they collide in a DStv Premiership tie on Sunday [15:00] at the New Peter Mokoba Stadium.
Brandon Truter and his Sekhukhune United claimed a famous 1-0 win in the first leg at FNB Stadium.
The win was so painful to Kaizer Chiefs as it spoiled their 53rd birthday celebrations.
However Brandon Truter is not reading much into the previous result as he expects a different approach from Arthur Zwane‘s and his men.
WHAT BRANDON TRUTER EXPECTS FROM AMAKHOSI
The former AmaZulu tactician has revealed the different variation he expects from Kaizer Chiefs. Truter is wary of Chiefs’ top performing youngsters, that include Mduduzi Shabalala and Samkelo Zwane.
“Chiefs are on a good run at the moment, with seven games unbeaten where they have five wins. I’m expecting an open game; I’m expecting an attacking game,” said Truter.
“They have alot of speed and they like to build from the back. It will be refreshing to face a team like that because at the Peter Mokoba stadium we face teams that sit back and want to catch us on the counter.
“For us it’s challenge after challenge, and on the occasion, I’m sure its going to be exciting to get three points from them.
“I’m sure they [Kaizer Chiefs] want to overturn that previous result which means they may open up and come hard at us,” Brandon Truter said.
BRANDON TRUTER REVEALS HIS WORRY
Truter is however fretting because of the injuries in his team. He is likely to miss the services of Nyiko Mobbie, Rodrick Kabwe and goalie Toaster Nsabata.
“First and foremost, there is so much fatigue in the team. There are minor injuries which we have to look at,” he added.
“We also have guys that have yellow cards. Toaster [Nsabata] has an injury, Nyiko [Mobbie] picked a knock, Kabwe picked up a knock. So there is alot of fatigue.
“It’s left upto managing that process and getting everyone ready. I wouldn’t want to bank on previous results, because tactics change and they also have some marvellous youngsters which makes them a bit more exciting and less predictable.
“With the youngsters, I think they are coming up well. I’m hopeful that we will go toe-to-toe with them. It’s been three months, but I still feel there is room to improve and progress.”
