Galaxy Charged By PSL Prosecutor

TS Galaxy has been charged by the Premier Soccer League prosecutor Zola Majavu for failing to produce a substitution board in a recent home match.

The Rockets have been battling on and off the pitch this season, with signs from within the club pointing to some financial troubles for chairman Tim Sukazi and his side, leading to payment issues with players.

On the pitch, though, Galaxy continued to perform and picked up 17 points in 13 games since the restart after the 2022 FIFA World Cup break.

However, Gallants now again wrote headlines off the pitch and had to appear ahead of the PSL Disciplinary Committee over failure to produce an electronic substitution board.

“TS Galaxy appeared before the PSL DC to answer to charges of failure to provide an electronic substitution board in their home match, which they have an obligation to do in accordance with the PSL prescript as well as football manual,” Majavu stated.

“They pleaded guilty as charged and they were fined an amount of R40,000 – half of it which is suspended on condition that during the period of suspension they are not found guilty of the same offence again.

“They were further ordered to pay the DC sittings.”
