With the South African third tier reaching its climax, a SAFA Eastern Cape ABC Motsepe League side has secured a spot in the amateur league’s National Playoffs.
Over the weekend, Amavarara were crowned the Eastern Cape ABC League champions following their 2-1 win over Peace Makers, coached by Lehlohonolo Seema, who is now linked with a move to Chippa United.
Amavarara are the first team to qualify for this year’s ABC Motsepe League national playoffs, and they will be hoping to gain promotion to the Motsepe Foundation Championship.
ZIZWE UNITED TO FACE YOUNG BAFANA IN THE WESTERN CAPE PROVINCIAL PLAYOFFS
On the other hand, Zizwe United and Young Bafana have won their respective streams in Western Cape ABC Motsepe League.
Zizwe were officially declared the Western Cape Stream A winners, whereas Bafana won Stream B.
The provincial playoff clash between the two teams will decide who will represent the Western Cape in the National Playoffs.
Meanwhile, the battle in the Gauteng province continues, with Pele Pele trying to close the gap on top following their 4-0 win over FC Ma-Lions.
Pele Pele are now placed third on the table with 66 points, just eight points behind log leaders Dondol Stars, who were eliminated by Orlando Pirates in the Nedbank Cup quarterfinals on Saturday.
