Kaizer Chiefs fans are in full voice. The Betway Premiership giants have at last landed their long-time target Khanyisa Mayo, snapping him up just days after his surprise departure from Algerian side CR Belouizdad.

Mayo became a household name and a Mamelodi Sundowns target during his time at Cape Town City FC. He scored 29 goals and provided six assists in 93 appearances for the Citizens, winning the PSL Golden Boot in 2022/23 with 12 strikes.

Now, at the age of 27, his hands are putting up the famous Kaizer Chiefs love and peace salute.

KHANYISA MAYO BECOMES KAIZER CHIEFS’ 12th SIGNING

For Amakhosi, this is more than a signing. With Mayo’s arrival, Nasreddine Nabi’s squad has hit the magic number: 11 new recruits in one transfer window. That’s a whole new starting 11, a sign of just how serious the Soweto giants are about chasing trophies again.

Kaizer Chiefs’ 11 new signings:

  • Thabiso Monyane
  • Peseka Mako
  • Nkanyiso Shinga
  • Ethan Chislett
  • Siphesihle Ndlovu
  • Lebogang Maboe
  • Flavio Silva
  • Asanele Velebayi
  • Luke Baartman
  • Etiosa Ighodaro
  • Khanyisa Mayo.

With a rebuilt squad and a proven goal scorer leading the line, Kaizer Chiefs fans are daring to dream. This isn’t just transfer business, it’s a reset button. A whole new Amakhosi has been assembled.

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF AMAKHOSI’S EFFORTS IN THIS TRANSFER WINDOW?
