Kaizer Chiefs and Stellenbosch FC have announced their starting line-ups for this afternoon’s DStv Premiership encounter at FNB Stadium.
A clash promising to be a top one as firing Amakhosi welcome in-form Stellies. Chiefs come into this game, having four successive matches in all competitions.
The impressive run has kept their chances of making it to the CAF Champions League next season alive, with the Glamour Boys sitting on 37 points after 23 matches – on par with Orlando Pirates and just two behind second-placed SuperSport United.
Arthur Zwane will have to find alternative options as Yusuf Maart is not available for the clash after picking up his fourth yellow card and getting suspended.
The Cape Winelands side might love this fixture, especially playing it at FNB Stadium because of the way they troubled Amakhosi last season defeating them by 1-0 courtesy of Ashley Du Preez, while Steve Barker will miss Sibongiseni Mthethwa due to suspension.
Barker’s side come into the game on the back of a seven-match unbeaten run, winning six. They have benefitted from the superb form of January returnee Iqraam Rayners, who scored nine goals in six games, bagging the Player of the Month award for February/March.
A win for Amakhosi would push them to 40 points, while Stellies have a chance of going to 33 points to cement their top eight spot.
Here is how they line up:
Kaizer Chiefs XI: Petersen, Solomons, Dove, Ngezana, Hlanti, Sithebe, Zwane, Shabalala, Dolly, Du Preez, Saile
