Former Kaizer Chiefs left-back Bradley Carnell has been named as Coach of the Week for the third time in the space of a month in Major League Soccer, USA.

The St Louis City head coach has had a dream start this season after completing his fifth win in a row and maintaining a 100% start record.

The former Orlando Pirates assistant coach saw his side beat Real Salt Lake by 4-0 away from home, to become the first expansion side to win their first five matches in a row.

This massive win made them the third team in the history of the Major League to win their first five games of the season.

They didn’t only break that record they went on and became the third team to score a total number of 15 goals in the first five matches of the season.

The South African mentor was voted Coach of the Week for a third time this season.

Their next encounter is against Bongokuhle Hlongwane’s side Minnesota United who are sitting seventh on the standings and are yet to lose a game.

St Louis City will be at home and it is expected to be a tantalising encounter with Njabulo Blom and Hlongwane facing each other.
