LOOK: Elephant killed in Limpopo accident
An elephant was killed when two vehicles, including a police van, collided with it on the R71 in Limpopo.
According to Tidimalo Chuene, spokesperson for the provincial department of transport and community safety, the incident took place around 18:50.
Chuene said speed or the fact that the elephant was on the road could have caused the collision.

BREAKING: Five killed in drive-by shooting in Tongaat
Five people were killed, and two others were injured in a drive-by shooting in Tongaat on Thursday.
Emergency services are currently still on the scene.

According to Reaction Unit SA (RUSA) spokesperson Prem Balram, officers were dispatched at 13:16 to the Golden Sun Supermarket on Gopalall Hurbans Road in Tongaat.
“The Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) Tongaat Operations Centre received multiple calls from the public reporting two different shootings.”

Port St Johns, a coastal town in the Eastern Cape, has been hit by heavy flooding following heavy downpours this evening, Thursday, 23 March.

Monkey pictures: EFF says DA speaker must step down for his racist tweets
The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) Western Cape wants Democratic Alliance (DA) leader Allan Winde to fire Speaker John Hayes with immediate effect for his racist post on social media.
The EFF says his tweet depicts images of monkeys pulling wheel caps off an unidentified car with the caption, “Be careful. The EFF strike started,” and on the bottom of the image is also written, “Looting Trend in SA”.
