For the past three years, Nasty C has been signed to the renowned international record label Def Jam in an effort to expand his reach beyond South Africa and the African continent. Despite this, he has yet to become a bona fide international rapper, though he is certainly making strides as an upandcoming artist.

Last year, Nasty C took to social media to search for US rappers who wanted to collaborate with him, offering to do the feature for free so that he could gain more exposure. This paid off, as he has since worked with one of the most prominent American R&B male artists.

Nasty C recently took a trip to the United Kingdom, evidenced by his Instagram feed. He asked his followers to suggest a tattoo artist go to in the country, but his actual feed got more attention when he posted a picture of himself with Chris Brown. The two had met backstage at Chris Brown‘s Under the Influence UK tour stop.

In January 2023, speculation was rampant that Nasty C‘s freestyle on the popular YouTube channel On The Radar had led to a meetup and photo opportunity.

Nasty C has acquired international fame after collaborating with international stars and getting co-signed by them and making appearances on popular media houses globally. His recent win was getting co-signed by RnB star Chris Brown on Instagram. The Call Me Everyday hitmaker posted Nasty C’s 2-month-old freestyle on On the Radar Radio.

Nasty C expressed his excitement after getting Chris Brown’s stamp of approval for his freestyle on the popular American YouTube show. Nasty C rapped on Super Gremlin which is beat by US rapper Kodak Black. Chris Brown, shared a clip of Nasty’s performance and this made his entire week.

Many people were delighted when the rapper Nasty C got the chance to meet his idol, but NhlamuloNota Baloy, a controversial entertainment commentator, tried to spoil the mood. He implied that Nasty C had only been able to get the photo opportunity because of a backstage pass, and was acting like a fan.

This is as Nota and Nasty C has a long history of animosity. As reported:

Nasty C has addressed Kwesta’s former manager’s claims that he is the reason that Nasty C started rapping in isiZulu.

Lost? Here is a quick catch up: Kwesta’s former manager and business partner, Nhlamulo “Nota” Baloyi, took to Twitter and shook us all by shading Cassper Nyovest’s “Bonginkosi” and Nasty C’s “Zulu Man.” While Kwesta caught flack for Nota’s tweets, the rapper revealed that the tweets come from a jaded axed manager.

Nota in the series of viral tweets had alleged that he was instrumental in getting Nasty C to rap in isiZulu. Nasty C, like Cassper Nyovest, had not addressed the matter on social media, well, until now. In a series of tweets the rapper makes it clear that “old *ss nigga” is “little boy” to him, and that his musical achievements are his alone and no one can take credit for them but him (and maybe his team).
