1976 | The 192 all-white schools run by the Roman Catholic Church in principle agreed to accept black students. It was planned to address any legal concerns with the government.

1953 | The National Mountain Zebra Park witnesses the birth of the first mountain zebra foal.

2000 | After killing Georgia sheriff’s officer Ricky Kinchen and seriously injuring officer Aldranon English, Jamil Abdullah Al-Amin, a former Black Panther formerly known as H. Rap Brown, was apprehended.

1988 | Eritrean War of Independence: After defeating the Nadew Command, the Eritrean People’s Liberation Army enters the town of Afabet, ending the Afabet War with victory.

1926 | Chiang Kai-shek initiated the elimination of communist elements within the National Revolutionary Army in Guangzhou.
