Marumo Gallants interim coach Raymond Mdaka has explained how frustrating it is not to have ‘technical consultant’ Dylan Kerr on the bench.
Kerr was appointed as Gallant’s consultant at the end of January after he left Swallows FC. The 56-year-old hasn’t got a chance to sit on the bench for Gallants due to work permit issues.
During the 2-2 draw against Cape Town City game in Cape Town, we witnessed Kerr shouting from the stands trying to get the message across to the team and the technical team.
This has been affecting Bahlabane Baa Ntwaa as they ended up doing a wrong substitution during the Nedbank Cup game against Mamelodi Sundowns a week ago.
Mdaka explained how frustrating it is and also pleaded for the process to be quick.
“I would not want to comment on that but sometimes honestly, even to him, it’s frustrating,” Mdaka told the media
“I feel it’s something that needs to be sorted out very quickly, when we sit together on the same bench, it becomes easy for us to discuss and share [ideas].
“But sometimes when he’s there, it doesn’t go that much but we try our level best to put up what we agreed on as a technical team.”
