Former Cape Town City midfielder Mpho Makola has successfully joined Motsepe Foundation Championship side Polokwane City.

The 36-year-old recently parted ways with City after spending three years in the club.

Lack of game time for ‘Bibo’ led to his exit from the club and they agreed on a contract termination.

He has been training with the Limpopo-based side over the past few weeks who’ve been gunning for the automatic promotion after they were relegated in the 2019/20 season.

Duncan Lechesa who is the head coach was impressed by the veteran midfielder and wanted him added into the squad.

According to iDiski Times sources, Makola has signed a short-term deal with Rise and Shine which is until the end of the season.

The former Orlando Pirates midfielder is expected to be in the team this after when they face third-placed Casric Stars this afternoon.
