Mohale Motaung is topping the trends on Twitter after the news that Somizi Mhlongo dropped the case against him following their dramatic and explosive divorce, which landed them in courtrooms. Media personality Somizi Mhlongo has been ordered by the Johannesburg High Court to pay Mohale Motaung’s legal fees.
After their messy divorce, it has been a roller coaster ride for both Somizi Mhlongo and ex-husband Mohale Motaung. From the abuse allegations, social media trolling and torments to, finally, the Johannesburg High Court deciding on the withdrawal of a case by Mhlongo.
Idols SA judge Mhlongo has finally withdrawn the case he has laid against ex-husband Mohale Motaung. Due to this case’s new circumstances, the Johannesburg High Court ultimately ruled against Mhlongo and ordered him to pay every last cent owed towards Mohale’s legal fees.
“Kindly take notes that the plaintiff withdraws the actions instituted against the defendant and tenders the defendant’s taxed and/ or agreed party and party costs”,
A look at Somizi Mhlongo and Mohale Motaung’s nasty divorce
Between 2017 and 2021, Somgaga was in a highly-publicized relationship where we saw him get engaged, get married, and sadly divorce. Their traditional wedding was in 2020, followed by a lavish reception party.
The couple did not spare any costs for the traditional wedding ceremony, which was reportedly held at Somizi’s parents’ home, followed by an elaborate reception at Kibler Park, Johannesburg, attended by A-listers in the entertainment industry.
As the couple began their happily ever after with the blessings of their family and friends, nobody saw Mohale and Somizi Mhlongo’s divorce coming, and when it did, it left their fans in shock.
But the Mohale Motaung and Somizi Mhlongo’s divorce did not happen until after the couple had celebrated their first anniversary. After months of speculations that Somizi and Mohale’s marriage was on the rocks, the Idols SA judge came out and confirmed their split after Mohale Motaung’s leaked interview where he accused Somizi of being abusive and controlling went viral.
