IMPACT-BASED WARNINGS:

A. Yellow Level 2 Warning for Disruptive Rain leading to localised flooding of susceptible settlements and roads, low-lying areas and bridges, and poor driving visibility is expected in the Lowveld of both Mpumalanga and Limpopo as well as the north-eastern part of KwaZulu-Natal.

FIRE DANGER WARNINGS:

Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected in the Kai !Garib local municipality of the Northern Cape.

Temperature and UVB forecast

Gauteng:

Temperature: Cloudy and cool to warm with scattered showers and thundershowers.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: High.

Mpumalanga:

Temperature: Cloudy and cool to warm with isolated to scattered showers and thundershowers, but widespread over the Lowveld.

Limpopo:

Temperature: Cloudy in the east, otherwise partly cloudy and cool to warm with isolated to scattered showers over the central parts, but widespread over the eastern parts.

North-West Province:

Temperature: Partly cloudy and warm with isolated showers in the east.

Free State:

Temperature: Cloudy with morning fog patches in the east at first, otherwise partly cloudy and cool to warm with isolated showers and thundershowers, except over the north-western parts.

Northern Cape:

Temperature: Morning fog patches along the coast and adjacent interior, otherwise partly cloudy and warm to hot but fine over the central parts.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be light and variable, becoming west to south-westerly from the afternoon.

Western Cape:

Temperature: Morning fog patches along the west and south-west coast and the adjacent interior where it will be partly cloudy, otherwise fine and warm to hot.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be light to moderate south to south-westerly along the south-west coast, becoming fresh to strong south-easterly south of Saldanha Bay, but moderate westerly east of Stilbaai.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Extreme.

Eastern Cape:

The Western half – Partly cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers in the north.

The Western half -Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate south westerly, becoming north westerly in the evening.

The Eastern half -Partly cloudy and warm, becoming cloudy with isolated showers and thundershowers from the afternoon, but scattered in the extreme north-east.

The Eastern halfWind: The wind along the coast will be Moderate north easterly, becoming south westerly from late afternoon.

Kwazulu-Natal:

Temperature: Cloudy and cool to warm with scattered showers and thundershowers.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be Moderate north-easterly, becoming fresh in the afternoon.
