Actress and TV presenter Manaka Ranaka recently opened up about how she is taking the loss of her elder daughter, Katlego Ranaka.

Katlego passed away in January this year from natural causes, according to her aunt Nompumelelo Ranaka, leaving behind her four-year-old son who recently turned five.

Manaka, who is popular for her roles in Stokvel, Isidingo and Generations: The Legacy among others, recently shared in a candid post that it is not easy to deal with grief.

The thespian took to her Instagram page to share a mini video clip of her pictures with her late daughter, Katlego.

“I wish I could say it’s getting easier but I can’t, not yet. My mornings are the toughest. Most times it’s hard to get up and face the world! But for Lele, Seni and Mpho I kick those blankets. I make sure I get up for them and myself. Rest easy my big girl,” she penned.

It was revealed during a memorial service that Katlego was meant to finish her Diploma in Animal Production at Ekurhuleni Agricultural College on the 31st of January. Mr Baloyi, a spokesperson at Ekurhuleni Agricultural College, remembered Katlego as an active and participating student.

Instagram users weighed in:

“Thixo (God) please continue to provide Manaka with courage and strength. Wishing you healing,” said one user.

Another one said: “Sister I can see your pain in your eyes, may God heal you one day.”

While another one said: “Sending hugs Momma.”
