As Idols SA is ending, its employees will be jobless, including ‘whoo shamee’ judge Somizi. Somiz has been working with Idols SA for more than a decade.

Somizi is undoubtedly the reason why Idols SA has a considerable following in Mzansi; he has a charming way of keeping fans glued to their screens. On Idols, he is known for his ‘Whoo Shame’ trademark, which was absent in season 17 when he was suspended due to domestic violence allegations. However, he made a controversial comeback after Idols SA viewers threatened to stop watching the show if he was on the judging panel.

Somizi has also been living a lavish lifestyle as Idols SA judge. He had a daily allowance, a car and flights sorted. Mzansi worries about how he will cope since the show is now cancelled.
