Cape Town City forward Khanyisa Mayo has told iDiski Times that playing against his brother Khanyisile Mayo has been the greatest moment of his young career so far.
In October, we witnessed the two sons of Patrick Mayo coming up against each other Khanyisa Mayo’s Cape Town City hosted Khanyisile Mayo’s Chippa United.
The two brothers played against each other for the first time at professional level, with Khanyisa starting the match at DHL Stadium, while Khanyisile came on for four minutes in the 2-1 defeat.
Khanyisa is the older of the two and was overcome with emotions when he recalled playing against his brother, saying he would love to play with Khanyisile on the same team.
“It’s a great feeling, firstly we used to play against each other at amateur level,” Mayo told iDiski Times.
“But at professional level for the first time playing against each other, it was the greatest moment that I’ll ever cherish playing against my brother at the highest level of football in the country.
“I also wish we could play in the same team [with him] because we would do some damage.”
