Ramovic Gives Credit To Downs Coaches
TS Galaxy head Sead Ramovic gave Mamelodi Sundowns’ technical team a huge credit after 2-1 defeat.
Galaxy conceded very early in the game when Downs defender Rushine de Reuck headed the opener just after 11 minutes but he had to substituted after that after picking up a head injury.
Peter Shalulile made it 2-0 before Junior Traore scored a late penalty in injury-time to put his side on the map. However, it was a little too late, as the Masandawana collected their 13th successive win.
The 43-year-old Ramovic believes that it was a fair game and he also he hailed how the defending DStv Premiership champions play, emphasising that Downs’ coaching staff must be given credit.
“I think we conceded too early, a goal from a corner and then of course, if you go this early into the game with 1-0 down that is not easy, especially not easy against a fantastic team like Sundowns,” Ramovic told SuperSpotTV after the match.
“But I also have to give the coaching team from Sundowns a huge credit, how they prepare their team, Sundowns.
“A lot of structure, fantastic players but you need a coach to put the right things all together and they do. So a huge credit to the coaching team and also for a fair tough game.”
The Rockets remain closer to the relegation with 19 points after 18 games and they are also still the lowest scoring team this season with just nine goals.
Galaxy, who have collected just one win in their last 15 games, return to action on Sunday when they host Lamontville Golden Arrows.
