Beyoncé’s Cécred expands into protective hairstyle care

Beyoncé’s hair care brand, Cécred, is launching a new line called the Protection Collection on 25 August.

This collection includes five specialised products designed specifically to support and protect hair worn in styles such as braids, weaves, wigs, and extensions.

BEYONCÉ’S NEW HAIRCARE PRODUCTS

It aims to tackle the common challenges faced with protective hairstyles, such as damage during style removal and scalp discomfort.

The new products incorporate proprietary PhytoFerment technology, which enhances nutrient absorption, aiding hair health and growth, according to USA Today.

All new products are infused with Cécred’s signature Nocturne Spice fragrance. This is a blend of pink pepper, vanilla, cardamom, tonka bean, and oud.

TINA ON BLACK HAIR

Tina Knowles, Beyoncé’s mother and vice chairwoman of Cécred, expressed how personal this collection is for Beyoncé.

“My daughter finds this collection deeply meaningful because she has lived these challenges her whole life.”

She added that throughout Beyoncé’s career, Beyoncé has experimented extensively with wigs, braids, and extensions.

But the market has lacked scientifically-backed products that truly care for the hair and scalp under these styles.

BEYONCÉ AND PROTECTIVE STYLING

Tina remarked, “We saw so much damage from the removal of protective styles. It was frustrating that appearance was prioritised over hair health. This collection fills a long-overlooked gap.”

This launch will resonate strongly with fans who commonly wear protective hairstyles as part of their hair care routines.

With this collection, Beyoncé and Cécred provide a thoughtful, much-needed solution for protective style wearers. It empowers them to care for their hair health confidently and sustainably.
