Five players of Tshakuma Tsha Mandzivhandila have left Limpopo after not being paid outstanding salaries since November and left without accommodation. The club denied the situation.
The Motsepe Foundation Championship side are once again in the news for the wrong reasons.
This past weekend, Tshakuma were eliminated from the Nedbank Cup qualifiers by a massive 7-1 scoreline against All Stars. But the club’s troubles didn’t end there.
According to a source, TTM hasn’t been training since their game in November against Pretoria Callies, which they lost by 1-0.
The players received half of their payment in November and they were promised that they will get all their money before Christmas.
Vhandau Vha Damani were expected to return to training on 13 December 2022 but that didn’t happen and they only got back two days before their Nedbank Cup game against All Stars, which they lost by 7-1.
“We tried to call the chairman after the game, because we were stranded. We didn’t have money, the club house rent was not paid. So we couldn’t go back to the club house after the game,” one of the players told iDiski Times.
“Even now we haven’t received our salaries since the half they paid us in November 2022. And we haven’t trained, we’re playing against All Stars in the league.
“Some players decided to go back home because we’ve got no place to stay in.”
This publication has learnt that five players have since left Limpopo because they had no place to stay, with the club house not available to them.
iDiski Times reached out on Tshakuma Tsha Mandzivhandila team manager Azwihangwisi Phasha, who seems to be the one in control of the club regarding payments, but he denied the allegations and insisted the club is training and players were paid.
“There is no such, players received their full salaries December unfortunately I can’t share the info with you because it’s confidential,” he said.

“People hate TTM every time they talk bad about the club. We training and everything is fine. We are ready for this weekend’s encounter.”
A few months ago, Cheslyn Jampies told this publication that he left TTM after he didn’t receive his salary for three months.
