Al Ahli head coach Pitso Mosimane has commented on speculation linking the club with Orlando Pirates star Thembinkosi Lorch.
Talks have been rife in Saudi Arabian media that Mosimane is keen to lure the 29-year-old to the Gulf region in the January transfer window.
The three-time CAF Champions League winning coach is a known admirer of his talent but he’s cooled down the speculation stating ‘he’s not aware’ of the potential transfer.
“If Al Ahli wants Thembinkosi Lorch, me and Chairman Khoza would be the first people to know that,” he wrote on social media.
“And nobody will know until Orlando Pirates announce the deal [has] been done. If the news are true, then I am not aware of that.”
Lorch has scored 30 goals and registered 19 assists in 155 games for the Buccaneers since joining the club from Maluti FET College in 2015.
