John Steenhuisen fat-shamed over appearance

Minister of Agriculture John Steenhuisen has been fat-shamed by South Africans over his apparent weight gain over the last few years.

Some have even accused the 49-year-old of being a “fat cat” in the Government of National Unity (GNU)

In recent weeks, John Steenhuisen’s appearance has been critiqued by social media users.

“Lay off the pies”, one X user commented under the Minister of Agriculture’s recent post.

Others posted side-by-side comparisons of the Minister of Agriculture before and after joining the GNU, while some compared his appearance to that of Minister of Mineral and Petroleum Resources, Gwede Mantashe.

Here’s what others had to say…

@GodChild51191: “Man, John Steenhuisen has gotten so fat since he joined the GNU government!”

@KingMntungwa: “GNU is for looting, even John Steenhuisen is getting FAT.”

@ChimCham7: “FAT CAT. At this rate, John’s suits will be so ill-fitting by December”.

WEIGHT STRUGGLE

Although John Steenhuisen has not addressed his critics, he’s previously commented on issues surrounding his weight.

In 2017, the Democratic Alliance leader revealed that he had decided to follow Tim Noakes’s banting diet after struggling to shed the kilos.

As a result, John lost an impressive 20 kgs.

DO YOU THINK JOHN STEENHUISEN HAS BEEN UNFAIRLY ATTACKED OVER HIS APPEARANCE?
