Pitso Mosimane’s agent and wife, Moira Thlagale admits that he dreams of developing 80% of the national team players for Bafana Bafana and Banyana Banyana.
The Pitso Moismane Soccer Schools (PMSS) which secured it’s first major partnership with Curro Holdings last month looks set to further develop it’s building blocks for long-term success in 2023.
Thlagale, who’s playing a major role in the development of the visionary project of the three-time CAF Champions League winner spoke to iDiski Times journalist Lethabo Kganyago in Edition 81 where he outlined his ultimate goal.
“Our programme – not only looks at the boy child, but it also looks at young girls,” she told iDiski Times
“I did mention that one of the key things that coach Pitso said his vision was, is that in the next 10 years he wants to see 80%, if anything of Bafana Bafana and Banyana Banyana being players that we have developed through Pitso Mosimane Soccer Schools.
“So we are going to really be deliberate in ensuring that we promote ladies. So when I was saying it was not about ladies, it was the fact that in us interviewing the applicants we were not pushing that, oh, we must have ladies even if they were not qualified.
“It is very important for us that the quality of people we bring on board is in line with the vision of coach Pitso and it’s in line with the excellence of his brand.”
