Argentina Trophy Parade Cut Short After Fan Incident

Argentina’s trophy parade had to be cut short after a fan got severely injured after attempting to jump on the open-top bus from a bridge.
The 2022 FIFA World Cup winners around Lionel Messi were welcomed by over 4 million fans during crazy scenes in the streets of Buenos Aires
However, after several hours of party atmosphere things heated over a little when fans attempted to jump onto the bus with the World Cup winners.
One of them missed the bus and fell onto the street and had to be transported into hospital.
As a consequence, the parade was cut short and players were flew with helicopters over the filled streets of Buenos Aires, as per CBS Sports journalist Ben Jacobs.
The bus was supposed to finish at the iconic Obelisk monument, where hundreds of thousands of fans were gathered (see image above), but security forces said it was unsafe.
AFA president Chiqui Tapia said: “A thousand apologies on behalf of all of the champion players.”
