CAFCC Group Stage Draw Confirmed

Marumo Gallants have found out which teams they will be facing in the group stages of the CAF Confederations Cup after the draw was conducted in Cairo on Monday.

Gallants are the only team left in the competition after Cape Town City and Royal AM were both knocked out.

Dan Malesela’s side reached the group stages after knocking out last year’s semi-finalists Al Ahli Tripoli 3-1 on aggregate after overturning a 1-0 first-leg defeat at home to reach the group stages of the CAF Confederations Cup for the first time in their history.

They have now been drawn in Group A alongside USM Alger (Algeria), who knocked out Cape Town City in the playoff round, Al Akhdar SC (Libya) and FC Saint Éloi Lupopo (DR Congo).

Here are all CAFCC groups:

Group A: USM Alger (Algeria), Marumo Gallants (South Africa), Al Akhdar SC (Libya), FC Saint Éloi Lupopo (DR Congo)

Group B: Asec Mimosas (Côte d’Ivoire), Diables Noirs (Congo), Rivers United (Nigeria), DC Motema Pembe (DR Congo)

Group C: Pyramids FC (Egypt), ASKO de Kara (Togo), Future FC (Egypt) , ASFAR Club (Morocco)

Group D: TP Mazembe (DR Congo), US Monastir (Tunisia), Young Africans (Tanzania), AS Real Bamako (Mali)

The top two sides of each group will qualify for the quarter-finals.
