Former Highlands Park, TS Galaxy and Sekhukhune United right-back Luckyboy Mokoena is currently being assessed by Royal AM.
The 28-year-old was last with Sekhukhune at the beginning of the year but things didn’t go according to plan as he had to leave the club.
The Free State-born full-back is known for his incredible pace, as he played most of his football at the Lions of the North before they were sold to TS Galaxy.
Mokoena scored one of the best goals during his times as Highlands Park when they were playing against Black Leopards at Makhulong Stadium.
iDiskiTimes has learned that the former South Africa U20 player is being assessed by Thwihli Thwahla, but no talks over a potential deal were held as yet as it is still the early stages of his assessment.
Khabo Zondo looks to beef up his squad before the Premier Soccer League resumes after they got knocked out of the CAF Confederations Cup by TP Mazembe and also dropped down the ranks in the DStv Premiership.
AM raised the bar last season when they finished third, but are now only sitting in ninth position with goal difference separating them and their neighbours Lamontville Golden Arrows in eighth.
