Cameroon Football Federation president and FC Barcelona legend Samuel Eto’o has been filmed in a heated altercation after the Brazil vs South Korea match, with video footage showing him kneeing a man.
Eto’o, 41, was involved in a furious row outside the 947 Stadium on Monday evening. Initial footage shows the four-time African Footballer of the Year, who had just left the stadium, according to reports, take some pictures with friends.
However, one of the bystanders, who is unknown at this moment but reported to be a YouTuber, seemingly upset Eto’o, leading to the Cameroon legend losing his cool.
Eto’o chased the man aggressively and is seen hitting him with his know towards the end of the video, published by LaOpinion.
It remains unclear what led to Eto’o’s outburst after he was guided away by security personal.
Eto’o was elected as Cameroon FA president on 11 December 2021 and was in Qatar as one of their “legacy ambassadors” and due to the participation of his home country, who were knocked out in the group stages.
