Cape Town City have announced the signing of former Kaizer Chiefs defender Lorenzo Gordinho, as previously reported by iDiski Times.
Gordinho recently parted ways with Denmark side HD Koge after making 16 appearances for the club in all competitions, assisting on one occasion.
The centre-back left South Africa in September 2020 when he was with the now-defunct Bidvest Wits, joining Viborg before moving to Koge earlier this year.
On Tuesday, City announced the signing of the 28-year-old.
The Citizens are Gordinho’s fourth club in South Africa after he came through the youth ranks of Kaizer Chiefs before making his Amakhosi debut. He was loaned out to Bloemfontein Celtic in 2018 before leaving Naturena to join Bidvest Wits in 2020.
Gordinho won two Premier Soccer League titles with Chiefs in 2012/13 and 2014/15.
