Former Manchester United midfielder Roy Keane has slammed the Brazilian players and coach Tite for their dancing against South Korea, with Tite responding to the criticism.
Brazil were on fire against South Korea, scoring four first-half goals in their 4-1 win, and celebrated each of the goals by showing some Samba moves.
After Richarlison scored his side’s third goal following a superb combination, even coach Tite joined the party on the sidelines.
The dancing, though, upset Keane, who now works as an ITV pundit and labelled it “disrespectful”.
“Fantastic finish by Vinicius, great start to the game. But I’ve never seen so much dancing,” Keane said, as per Daily Mail.
“I can’t believe what I’m watching, I can’t believe what I’m watching, it’s like watching Strictly [Come Dancing].
“I don’t like this. People say it’s their culture. But I think that’s really disrespecting the opposition.
“It’s four goals, and they are doing it every time. I don’t mind so much the first jig, it’s the one after that, and the manager getting involved.
“I’m not happy about it. I don’t think it’s good at all.”
After the match, Tite responded to critics of Brazil’s dancing and explained that he joined it because it is a way of connecting with his team.
“I have to be very careful,” Tite said, as quoted by ESPN.
“There are people who are evil who will say that was disrespectful.

“[It is] happiness for a goal scored, for the team, for the performance, for the result.
“They’re very young and I always try to adapt a little bit to their language. They have a language, which is of dancing.”
Brazil will now face Croatia in Friday’s quarter-final after the European side beat Japan 3-1 on penalties in the earlier last 16 match on Tuesday.
