Thembinkosi Lorch will sit out today’s DStv Premiership match between Orlando Pirates and Cape Town City and could be out of this weekend’s Soweto derby.
The Pirates forward was a notable absentee from Pirates’ line-up on Wednesday.
The news of Lorch’s hamstring injury was confirmed by Pirates’ co coach Fadlu Davids pre-match, who said he could also miss Saturday’s game against Kaizer Chiefs
“Quite disappointing is the injury of Lorch,” Davids told SuperSport.
“A hamstring, so he’ll do the scan today and doesn’t look good for the derby as well.
“But, you know, we prepare we focus on this game and, that’s our entire focus not who plays, but the best in place.”
