This publication has learned that the former Chiefs academy player has signed a two-year deal with City.
According to the source Gordinho has already started training with City as he was spotted at Malta Park, Cape Town yesterday training with the 2018 MTN8 winners.
The 28-year-old will add some experience in the Citizens defence as they will aim to climb up the table.
The Cape Town-based side went into the FIFA World Cup break sitting in an unfamiliar 13th position on the log.
