Bafana Bafana forward Luther Singh took another major step towards getting his career back on track after scoring his first goal in nearly 20 months.
Singh looked to be cementing his spot in the national team in 2021 and earned a big-money move to Danish Superliga giants FC Copenhagen after impressing during his loan moves away from SC Braga.
However, his move to Denmark where he was touted as the next Sibusiso Zuma, a club legend at the FCK, quickly turned sour.
Injuries, poor form, and personal problems restricted him to just seven first-team appearances with no goals and assists before Chaves came calling for a season-long loan.
And after slowly being reintroduced to the rigours of regular first-team football, the 25-year-old seems to be closing in on full fitness, as he netted in the Taca da Liga games against Vizela on Tuesday evening during a 2-2 draw.
With two consecutive starts, the Stars of Africa Academy product will be aiming to build on his opening goal of the 2022/23 season and continue impressing in the domestic cup this month before the return of league action after the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
