Banyana Banyana star Linda Motlhalo looks set for the next move of her career after three impressive seasons in Sweden with Djurgården.
The South Africa international playmaker, 24, is widely considered as one of the finest talents on the continent and played a starring role in their triumphant Women’s Africa Cup of Nations campaign in Morocco earlier this year.
Having enjoyed a meteoric rise from JVW FC to Europe via stints in USA and China, the technically gifted midfielder looks set for a major next move.
“I have enjoyed three amazing years at Djurgården and learned so much about myself. But the time has come to say goodbye,” she said, via the club’s official website.
“From the beginning, DIF welcomed me with warm hearts and Sweden became my home away from home.
“I will always appreciate the love and support shown to me by the supporters. As well as the efforts and spirit of my team mates, the coaches and all the staff. Thank you DIF, we will see each other again.”
Motlhalo has scored 16 goals in 52 caps for Banyana since making her debut back in 2015 as a teenager.
