Former Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan has shared a piece of advice to the young players at the ongoing 2022 FIFA World Cup held in Qatar.
The 37-year-old played a significant role in the Black Stars‘ success to qualify for the World Cup in 2006, 2010 and 2014.
Gyan advised the young prospects, currently participating in the prestigious tournament to familiarise themselves with the ferocity of the beautiful game.
And also, Gyan wants the youngsters to play their normal game as they usually play at their respective teams.
ASAMOAH GYAN’S ADVICE TO YOUNGSTERS AT THE WORLD CUP…
“I think this should be a motivation for them because we have got a lot of young players in the World Cup who are also performing right now,” he told SuperSport TV.
“So, it should be something that arouses enthusiasm for the young players who are coming up, the prospects and everybody.
“The sky is the limit. They should keep focus and work very hard, and live the rest to God.”
ASAMOAH GYAN’S BACKGROUND WITH GHANA AT THE WORLD CUP
Having represented the Black Stars at the 2006, 2010 and 2014 World Cups, the ex-Sunderland frontman remains one of the top African goalscorers in the history of the World Cup .
He has managed to score six goals at the global showpiece.
To put a cherry on top, Gyan is the all-time leading top goalscorer of the Ghana national team. He has banged 51 goals for the Western Africans.
The Ghanaian football legend recently completed his UEFA License B coaching course with the Football Association of Wales.
His nation are drawn in Group H alongside Portugal, Korea Republic and Uruguay at the World Cup.
The Black Stars will commence their World Cup campaign against Portugal on Thursday, 24 November at Stadium 974, in Doha.
