Man Utd Release New Ronaldo Statement

Manchester United have released another statement on the bombshell interview by Cristiano Ronaldo, saying they have “initiated appropriate steps”.

Club officials, teammates and the technical team are said to be stunned by Ronaldo’s interview with Piers Morgan, during which he claimed he “feels betrayed” and “forced out”, while also discussing various other club international which don’t show United in a good light.

As a consequence, United will now take against Ronaldo, with some reports stating the club’s lawyers are checking whether there his comments were a breach of contract.

“Manchester United has this morning initiated appropriate steps in response to Cristiano Ronaldo’s recent media interview,” the club said via a statement on their website.

“We will not be making further comment until this process reaches its conclusion.”

Ronaldo is currently in camp with Portugal ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup and it remains to be seen whether he will return to the club after the tournament.

United’s next fixture is a League Cup fixture against Burnley on 21 December – a day after the World Cup final.
