Sundowns Ladies Ruthless On Their Return From The Champions League

Fresh from the TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Champions League tournament, Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies thrashed Coal City Wizards 7-0 in Witbank in their catch-up match in the Hollywoodbets Super League on Thursday.

Boitumelo Rabale scored a hat-trick in the first-half, Miche Minnies added the fourth while Hlogi Mashigo, Andisiwe Mgcoyi and Melinda Kgadiete were also on the score sheet. 

Sundowns have already wrapped up the domestic title before their trip to Morocco where they couldn’t defend their continental title.

They remain at the top of the log with 76 points from 28 games while the Wizards are in 13th place with 23 points from the same number of games. 

In another midweek game Vasco Da Gama lost 1-0 to University of Western Cape (UWC) at Parrow Park.

The result sees the rookies in 14th spot with 19 points from28 outings while UWC moved into second place, replacing Tshwane University of Technology (TUT). Thina Mbuli’s charges now have 62 points in 28 encounters, just three points adrift TUT on their heels. 

Meanwhile even with two rounds to go before the campaign wraps up Golden Ladies and Tsunami Queens have been relegated. Ladies occupy 15th position with 13 points in 28 points while Queens are bottom of the log with 10 points from 29 games.
