Bafana Bafana came from a goal down at half-time to beat Mozambique 2-1 to collect their third successive win, thanks to a brace by Bongokuhle Hlongwane.

Ronwen Williams almost gifted the visitor a goal after his lapse pass ended up with Telinho but the Mozambique striker only hit the post.

Mozambique opened the scoring in the 12 minute after a horrible backless by Rushing De Reuck handed Nelson Daniel Divrassone the ball free in front of Williams and he calmly slotted home.

Bafana took control of the match after the first 20 minutes but didn’t create much. The best chance came from a cross by Zakhele Lepasa but it was missed by Bongokuhle Hlongwane in the five-yard box.

After 35 minutes, Monnapule Saleng tested the Mozambique goalkeeper with a free-kick similar to his goal in the MTN8 final but Ivane was up to the task.

South Africa eventually equalised on the 56th minute when a cross by Nyiko Mobbie hit Hlongwane inside the 5-yard box to deflect the ball into goal.

Just two minutes later Hlongwane completed his brace after nice interplay with Themba Zwane and a superb finish from inside the box.

Mozambique almost equalised in the 67th minute but a superb shot from outside the box hitting the crossbar.

Bafana could’ve made it three in the 85th minute but a shot by Teboho Mokoena was saved by the Mozambique goalkeeper.
