Kaizer Chiefs defender Zitha Kwinika believes the Amakhosi are on the right track as a team and sent a message to the club’s fans.

The Glamour Boys have slowly improved after a difficult start to the season, when they lost three of the first five league games. Chiefs then also got knocked out in the MTN8 semi-final by AmaZulu FC on the away-goal rule.

However, they finished the first half of the campaign in fourth place after beating bitter rivals Orlando Pirates 1-0 in the Soweto Derby.

Kwinika, who returned to Naturena at the beginning of season, believes that they are moving onto the right direction.

“We’re still in progress and we’re getting better,” Kwinika told iDiski Times.

“I think the important part of it is what we know as a group and we’re slowly achieving those goals we had as a team in terms of us growing but our nature is to get results and if we change that I think we will be okay.”

The 28-year-old has also asked the Amakhosi faithful to keep supporting them as they working hard to bring back glory days at Naturena.

“To the Khosi faithful, keep hanging in there! We will definitely gonna make them happy, we gonna make them proud,” he continued.

“We’re working very hard to make sure that we put back smiles in their faces.”

Kwinika spoke to iDiski Times during the graduation ceremony of the 2022 PSL Player Transition Programme, where he was one of the 64 players who were honoured at the Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS) in Johannesburg.
