Mr Music is a South African musician who came into the limelight after becoming Idols SA’s 2nd runner-up in 2020. Since then, he has been winning big and has been releasing music. He joins a list of Idols SA contestants who have pursued a  professional musical career after contesting in South Africa’s biggest musical competition.

Born-Lungisani Mthethwa, Mr Music was born in KwaMbonambi, Richards Bay in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. Reports have it that he was born in 2000. As of 2022, he is 22 years old. Of interest is that he was one of the youngest finalists in the history of the signing competition.

Mr Music was the top contender alongside Zama Khumalo. Just like those before him, he was fortunate enough to get signed by one the biggest record labels in South Africa. He was signed alongside season 16 winner Khumaloa and the rest of the show’s top five finalists from Idols season 16. They were all signed under the Kalawa Jazmee label, which is best known for naturing the likes of DJ Zinhle and other big stars.

Mr Music’s Horrific Car Accident

Whilst travelling for a gig slated for Johannesburg, Mr Music was involved in a horrific car accident while travelling from KwaZulu-Natal to Jozi with his brothers. He has it that whilst they were at one of the traffic lights en route to Johannesburg, a drunk truck driver rammed his car at the traffic lights intersection. However, they escaped death through a whisker.

With an illustrious career poised for greater heights, Mr Music has been making a fortune from his musical career. He has been spotted driving around several sleek cars which, include a white BMW.
