Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies midfielder Boitumelo Rabale says she wants to bring the CAF Woman’s Champions League trophy home after her Woman of the Match performance in the semi-final.
The Lesotho international scored a cracker in the 75th minute and that was enough to send the defending champions through to the final of CAFWCL for the second time in a row.
“I’m so happy to have won this Woman of the Match accolade and also help my team to reach the final stage of the tournament,” Rabale told the media.
“This has been a very tough game but we told ourselves as individuals to come and defend our title and we have done a good job so far as a team.
“I just want us to win this title and bring the trophy back home.
“This was one of the toughest games ever in the competition as both teams were gunning for a place in the final and to get a spot there so it was one of the toughest matches of the tournament so far.”
Masandawana will face Moroccan side AS FAR in the final on Sunday evening at the Stade Moulay Abdellah Rabat – it won’t be an easy task for Downs as AS FAR will be playing in front of their home crowd.
