Mugg & Bean Menu

Mugg & Bean has more than 30 menus you can choose from. Mugg & Bean doubles as a full-service and On-The-Move restaurant. It is a coffee-themed restaurant with several menus one can choose from. In South Africa, it has more than 184 outlets across the country. Let’s take a look at their menus.

THE ROASTERY

There is a wide range of choices, from a creamy, velvety cappuccino to robust black coffee. Milk alternatives are also provided on request.

• ESPRESSO
  A single shot of espresso.
• DOPPIO ESPRESSO
  Doppio comes as a double shot of espresso.
• AMERICANO
  The Americano comes with a double shot of espresso with hot water.
• FLAT WHITE                                                                                                                                                         It comes as a single shot of espresso blended with texturised milk.
• CAFFÈ CRÈME
  It comes as a double shot of espresso blended with hot water. It is then served with pouring cream.
• CAFFÈ LATTE                                                                                                                                                      One of the best on the coffee menus comes with a shot of espresso with texturised milk.
• CAFFÈ MOCHA
  It’s a signature coffee with hot chocolate, a shot of espresso, and texturised milk.
• CAPPUCCINO
  One of the most sort after coffee. Comes with a double shot of espresso with texturised milk.
• DIRTY CHAI CAPPUCCINO
  Chai comes with a double shot of espresso with texturised milk.
• BOTTOMLESS FILTER COFFEE

The coffee is made from Arabica coffee beans, roasted and toasted perfectly. On the menu of Bottomless Filter coffee, there are two coffees on offer. That’s the: House Blend and Mocca Java

Mugg & Bean BREAKFAST MENU

The menu is served all-day

Omelettes are served with buttered white. There is a three-egg and white omelette. There is also an option of wholewheat or rye toast. Note a Low carb menu substitutes toast with low-carb bread.

It is full of flavours and has cheddar and mozzarella cheese. Fresh basil is also in the mix and topped with avocado. Back bacon, feta and basil pesto mayo are the signatures of California. It is served with roasted rosemary cherry tomatoes.

Like the signature California, the Rancheros are filled with cheddar and mozzarella and then sprinkled with the special shakshuka sauce. Baby potatoes, charred corn, cherry tomatoes, sriracha, mayo, and other toppings are included. It is topped with chorizo and avo. Rancheros are served with sour cream.

Mugg & Bean EGGS BENEDICT MENU

The menu includes two poached eggs, hollandaise sauce and a toasted muffin. However, there is an option without an English muffin.

• CLASSIC
  The classic menu comes topped with hickory ham, and it is served with grilled tomato. A hash brown is included.
• BIG BEN
  The Big Ben menu comes with topped fresh baby spinach. Grilled tomato, hash browns, cheddar, hickory ham, back bacon and battered onion rings.
• SOUTH AFRICAN 
  New on the menu list. It comes with boerewors patty and chakalaka topping.

Mugg & Bean BAGEL BREAKFAST MENU

• The signature menu comes with a buttered and toasted bagel. Complimented with back bacon, tomato chutney, scrambled eggs, basil pesto and hollandaise sauce.
• BACK BACON & BLUEBERRY
  New on the menu list. It’s a buttered and toasted bagel with cream cheese, back bacon, blueberry and vanilla coulis, candied walnuts and sprinkled with honey. It is full of flavours, and it’s one of the best.

CLASSICS Menu

Cheap and convenient. The classics menu has fried, scrambled, or poached eggs per your liking. It is served with fresh buttered white, wholewheat or rye toast. However, you can substitute the toast with a slice of low-carb bread.

• ON-THE-GO
  It comes with two eggs and seasoned back bacon with grilled tomato.
• CLASSIC
  This is the classic signature menu and customers’ favourite. Comes with two eggs and honey-glazed back bacon. It is full of flavours and has grilled tomatoes and a hash brown. The menu is served with rosemary-salted skin-on fries.
• SOUTH AFRICAN FARM
  Have two eggs, back bacon, a hash brown, grilled tomato and boerewors topped with tomato chutney.

GOURMET BURGERS MENU

The beef patties are made of pure brisket and chuck. They are full of flavours as they are cooked medium. Served on the fresh, crusty sesame brioche bun with rosemary-salted skin-on fries. One can request a side salad as a substitute for the fries.

• BBQ CHEDDAR 
  It’s a BBQ-basted chargrilled beef patty. It is layered with cheddar, gherkins, tomato, burger mayo, red onion, and lettuce.
• AVO, BACK BACON AND FETA 
  BBQ basted chargrilled beef patty, layered with gherkins, tomato, burger mayo, red onion & lettuce.
• BIG DADDY
  This is the best burger on the menu for many. It comes with a BBQ-basted medium-chargrilled beef patty. The patty is layered with farm-fresh fried eggs, back bacon, hickory ham, cheddar, gherkins, tomato, burger mayo, red onion and lettuce and topped with battered onion rings. One can add extra toppings for a fee.
• FALAFEL 
  For vegetarians, there is a lot on offer. The Falafel comes with deep-fried herbed chickpea bites. Topped with red onion and cucumber salad complimented with rocket, spiced honey and herbed yoghurt.
• BUTTERMILK CHICKEN
  Comes with sesame-crusted fried chicken strips, rainbow slaw, grated Parmesan, tomato, honey citrus reduction, and burger mayo and lettuce. The potatoes are locally sourced. To retain nutrients, they leave the skin and also reduce waste.

HEARTY & GENEROUS MENU in Mugg & Bean

The menu is served with rosemary-salted skin-on fries. However, one can also opt for sweet potato skin-on fries or a side salad.

• PIT BOSS BBQ GRILL
  The Pit Boss menu comes with BBQ-basted 200g rump. It also has chargrilled pork belly rashers, boerewors, and BBQ buffalo chicken wings. Grilled corn on the cob is also included on the menu. One can also opt for dipping sauce which can be creamy mustard cheddar sauce.
• RIB AND WING COMBO
  Comes with seasoned chargrilled 200g BBQ pork ribs and marinated buffalo chicken wings.
• GRILLED RUMP STEAK 
  The menu comes with BBQ-basted 250g rump. It is served with battered onion rings and red wine jus. The BBQ is topped with herb butter.
• SWEET AND SPICY WINGS AND BBQ RUMP 
  Comes with deep-fried buffalo chicken wings tossed in sweet and spicy hot sauce. It is also served with a chargrilled BBQ-basted 250g rump.
• WELSH RAREBIT CRUMBED CHICKEN
  It bursts with flavours as it comes with an Avo, back bacon, cheddar sauce and fresh spring onion.
• FRENCH ONION MEATBALLS 
  Comes with chicken meatballs complimented with creamy French onion and white wine sauce. They are topped with buttered and toasted ciabatta, melted mozzarella and Parmesan for more flavours.
• SESAME-CRUSTED BEEF AND VEG BOWL
  New on the menu. Comes as egg-fried basmati rice, stir-fried veg, avo, spring onion and crispy ginger slices with honey-soy sauce.
• CREAMY SUNDRIED TOMATO, CHICKEN & GNOCCHI
  New on the menu. Comes with grilled chicken breasts and pan-fried gnocchi. It also comes with creamy sundried tomato and basil pesto sauce. One can also opt for sautéed broccoli.

MIX, MATCH AND SHARE MENU

• ASIAN BBQ CAULIFLOWER BITES MEAL
  A vegan menu comes with battered, deep-fried and tossed in Asian BBQ sauce. Then sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds and juicy spring onion.
• SESAME-CRUSTED CHICKEN STRIPS MEAL
  Its buttermilk fried chicken strips are served with sweet chilli dipping sauce.
• CHIPOTLE CHICKEN LIVERS MEAL
  Chicken livers pan-fried in cream with red onion and garlic. Comes along with the smoky chipotle sauce. Served with buttered and toasted ciabatta.
• SPICY BUFFALO CHICKEN WINGS MEAL
  It comes coated in hot sauce, and deep-fried wings served with blue cheese dipping sauce.
• SHARING PLATTER MEAL
  New on the menu. Comes with deep-fried halloumi, sesame-crusted chicken strips, spicy buffalo chicken wings, battered onion rings and Asian BBQ cauliflower bites. It is served with sweet chilli and blue cheese dipping sauces.

Mugg & Bean SOMETHING DIFFERENT MENU

• SWEETCORN FRITTER STACK
  Comes with cheese and spring onion sweetcorn fritters, back bacon, roasted rosemary cherry tomatoes, avo and ranch dressing. Served with buttered white, wholewheat or rye toast.
• VEGAN FRY UP
  It’s a vegan menu that comes with vegan sausages, sautéed baby spinach, herbed mushrooms, a hash brown & roasted rosemary cherry tomatoes. Served with shakshuka sauce and your choice of unbuttered toast.

FRESH SALADS MENU

On offer is a wide range of salads that include the:

• MOROCCAN BUTTERNUT AND CHICKPEA 
  Comes with roasted butternut, spiced chickpeas, candied walnuts, cherry tomatoes, feta and spring onions with mixed lettuce. Served with honey mustard dressing.
• MONTE CRISTO
  Juicy beef strips, back bacon, avo, blue cheese, cherry tomatoes and spring onion with mixed lettuce. Served with honey mustard dressing and bagel melba toast.
• SATAY BEEF AND NOODLE
  Beef strips, egg noodles, red cabbage, carrots, spring onion, coriander, basil, mint, peanuts**, mango & satay dressing.

SOUPS

  Topped with basil pesto and served with a toasted white, wholewheat or rye mozzarella sandwich.
