Soccer Legend Mathew Booth found himself the centre of scandalous cheating allegations after his wife, Sonia Booth, took to social media to air their dirty marital laundry. In a series of posts, former Miss South Africa Sonia Booth shared that her husband Mathew Booth was having an affair. Mathew Booth is an ex-professional footballer who used to play for Mamelodi Sundowns as a centre-back. The posts said that Mathew started cheating on Valentine’s day when he used his wife’s car for a trip with his girlfriend.

The two were said to have been seen together in public on several occasions by fans, and pictures and videos were shared as proof. Sonia posted all the evidence she had collected on her social media accounts. The alleged side chick Bongani Moller posted a cryptic video showing that she was keeping it moving despite being name shamed.

Mathew Booth breaks his silence on cheating allegations

The former soccer star finally broke his silence after his wife’s social media rant yesterday. Mathew shared an official statement where he stated the allegations were unfounded and Sonia intended to tarnish his name. He goes on to share that Sonia did not consider the damage these allegations would cause their children, who are writing their final exams.

Booth said that the matter had been handed over to his lawyers, who will take the necessary steps to ensure it’s handled appropriately. To pen off his statement, he appealed to his alleged side chick and all the corporates he works with his sponsors, not letting the allegations deter their work.
