Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies have acquired the services of Gabonnelwe Salome Kekana ahead of the new season.

Kekana joins the African champions from rival club, Tshwane University of Technology (TUT Ladies).

The Soshanguve-born player was part of TUT Ladies for six years switching between being a striker and full back.

“Gabonnelwe Salome Kekana has officially joined Sundowns Ladies to bolster the striking force of the African Champions. Let’s welcome the latest member of our striking force! All the best, Gabo. Let the Sky be your Limit,” reads the brief statement.

Kekana was one of the stand-by players in the 2018 Banyana Banyana Cosafa squad and a consistent performer for TUT Ladies over the years.

She will be eager to make an impact at Sundowns Ladies and help the club defend the Super League and Caf Women’s Champions League title.
