Royal AM captain Sam Manganyi has revealed what his side need to do on Wednesday to beat DR Congo side TP Mazembe in the CAF Confederation Cup.
The KZN outfit are on the verge of being knocked out of the competition after losing two nil last week in the reverse fixture in DR Congo.
To qualify to the next round of the competition, Royal AM must keep a cleansheet and must win with at least three goals.
“Personally I think we shouldn’t change anything. When we went to Congo we had a view of winning the game, unfortunately we lost 2-0,” Manganyi told the media.
“All we need to do is to come back and use our chances. I would say yes, I would say no just that we have to apply ourselves in a correct manner. What the coaches tell us what to do, we need to do that.”
Manganyi further revealed two key things they must work on, in order to be successful in continental competitions.
“For the club it’s a good thing because we achieved playing in Africa. For us we just have to be consistent and work harder because it’s an experience for us, our first season in this tournament,” Manganyi added.
Kickoff at the iconic Moses Mabhida Stadium is at 7pm.
Other DStv Premiership teams that will be participating in the tournament on Wednesday are Marumo Gallants and Cape Town City. They face Al Ahly Tripoli and USM Alger respectively.
The main will be to qualify to the next round, Gallants lost one nil in the reverse fixture, whilst the Citizens were held to a goalless draw away from home.
