Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies team head coach Jerry Tshabalala was left please after their 5-0 trouncing of Wadi Degla in the CAF Women’s Champions League.

Sundowns secured their second win of the campaign making it six points in two games. The reigning champions also became the first team to ever score five goals in one match ever since the tournament was established. Tshabalala told the media all credit should go to the ladies as they made it look easy on the eye.

“Not an easy game for us like I said they made it a bit difficult but credit should go to my girls,” Tshabalala told the media.

“How we prepared for this game I told them we don’t need to give the ball away as we did in the previous game because at some point we were just kicking the ball away for the sake of kicking it – but we retained too much possesion today and we combined a lot of combination plays and it resulted into us getting those far post that we scored today.

“In the face of the people it might look easy but it wasn’t easy. When you look at how we circulated the ball, I think that’s what made it look so easy. It wasn’t easy the girls had to put in the effort, honestly speaking it wasn’t an easy game”

Masandawana will face TP Mazembe in the last game of the group. They have already booked their place in the semi-finals. Downs has scored seven goals and conceded only one.
