South African producer and hitmaker DJ Maphorisa has revealed how much he wants for him to do an interview with MacG on Podcast And Chill.

DJ Maphorisa, real name Themba Sonnyboy Sekowe, has never been a fan of Podcast And Chill, dubbed the biggest podcast in Africa. This is despite the show having interviewed iconic celebrities like Dr John Kani, Connie Chiume and Julius Malema.

Earlier this year, DJ Maphorisa went live on Instagram and warned people from going to MacG’s podcast for interviews, arguing that it can destroy their careers.

A few weeks ago, MacG alleged that Maphorisa is a gatekeeper in the Amapiano genre. He said he heard that every artist who releases a body of work or wants to succeed needs to go to Phori for approval.

He added that the approval is just like how Latino drug dealers kiss the ring of the drug lord to show allegiance. After this, DJ Maphorisa went on Twitter and complained to MacG about why he constantly attacked him despite knowing each other for years.

The Izolo hitmaker has now taken to his usual favourite platform to speak and mentioned how much he wants to be paid if he is ever going for an interview on Podcast And Chill.

Phori said he would want R500,000 or R1 million to sit down and chat with MacG because he has so much information and questions to ask.
