Former Newcastle United defender Bradley Cross was spotted in training at SuperSport United this morning after returning to South Africa after four years in Europe.
The former Black Aces and Bidvest Wits youth player moved to Germany in 2018 where he played for FC Schalke 04’s youth team before joining Newcastle United in England where he played in the U23 team.
Still only 21-year-old, Cross is believed to be working on his fitness and could be a huge asset for Gavin Hunt’s team if they decide to sign him.
He was spotted at the club this morning in training by iDiski Times, after his links to SuperSport were already reported in this week’s edition of the newspaper.
Cross has made 33 appearances for Schalke in the youth Bundesliga, while also donning the Newcastle U21 shirt over 30 times. However, he became a free agent in July when his contract with the Premier League side expired.
