Season 1 of the food docu-series

In season 1 of the show, we saw Lorna trade her heels for more comfortable footwear to prepare a variety of meals. The most interesting factor of the show is the fact that she prepared the food and various locations. For instance, she could go along the coast to prepare some seafood and so forth.

The fact that Homegrown Taste South Africa made it to the BBC lifestyle channel on DSTV was very impressive for Lorna. She entered the industry as a presenter after she graduated from Unisa with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications. Later on, she enrolled in a one-year culinary course and graduated. Many thought she was doing this cooking thing for clout but she made it a success.

Season 2 of Homegrown Taste South Africa promises to be more spectacular than season 1. Firstly Lorna will make indigenous street food with a twist like a kota with more sophistication. She can also make Western dishes fused with South African dishes like a lamb shank recipe fused with chakalaka.

On the dessert side, she prefers very simple desserts with low calories that are tasty. One of her simplest recipes is a yoghurt, caramel and granola bars. Lorna focuses on both taste and low calories.

Recently she went to London and went to the M Restaurant. Upon her arrival, she met up with her old friend Richard Vines and they met Martin Williams. Martin is the owner of the restaurant and he gave them a special spot. She made a variety of vlogs from all the truffles with parmesan cheese.

Currently, the Homegrown Taste South Africa star is in San Francisco. She explored a certain Beijing restaurant and consumed ramen noodles with chilli sauce. Lorna may be doing all this food travelling to gather more recipes for her show so viewers can expect more exotic flavours.
