Raphael Griffiths is half Zambian, half Zulu and his father come from Dundee; he was born in Johannesburg, where he studied for his primary and secondary education. He is a genius and was the head boy at Hoerskool Die Fakkel and served as a president for various student councils. His ambition while growing up was to study political sciences, but he later switched his interest to drama. Raphael holds a certificate in Television Production from AFDA.
