In-form Kaizer Chiefs winger Kgaogelo Sekgota has revealed what Arthur Zwane told him that has helped him become one of the standout players in the squad.
Sekgota,25, has become a mainstay in Chiefs line-up, starting all of the last nine games and – almost more importantly – finishing eight of them.
Zwane had recently praised Sekgota as the team’s “star player” and also explained his explosion in form is based on a special training program the technical team had placed the speedy winger on.
Sekgota has now also revealed that the new Chiefs coach told him to express himself on the pitch.
“He encouraged me to keep on doing what I like and also he advises me what to do at the right moment at the right time,” he told journalists.

“He helped me a lot, he encouraged me and I’m grateful for his support.”
When asked what else Sekgota credits to his improvement in form, he praised the overall new setup under coach ‘10111’
“There is changes, there is new players, there is new teammates, new style of play, new coach, the support that we have as a team, the way we encourage each other. Things have been looking better,” he continued.
“For me to be playing at this moment, I have to thank the coach for the opportunity that he gave me. And also all my teammates, the experienced players that we have, pushing us as youngsters to improve on our skills.”
Sekgota also confirmed that Chiefs have put him on a special training program, which has helped him to unlock the next level in his career.
“They created a program for me and I’ve been working hard an I’m still going to work hard,” he added.
