GENERAL HAND / CREW (TRUCK ASSITANTS X12 (Temporary)
Committed, hardworking and trustworthy individuals required to join Distribution department as Truck Assistants (crews) on a 3 month fixed term contract.
The successful candidates will report to
the Distribution Manager and Controllers.
Purpose Of The Position
The Crew/truck Assistant primary purpose offload stock and load emptied onto the truck, provide support to the drivers, provide efficient and accurate service to customers where while delivering in trade.
Major Responsibilities
Offload stock and load empties onto the truck.
Assist and support the driver with general duties.
Guide the driver in and out of confined spaces if and when required.
Responsible for keeping the truck clean and neat.
Ensure that all loads are secured and covered at all times.
To work in a safe manner not to endanger himself or other persons and property.
Requirements
Minimum Grade 10
Attention to detail
Willingness to work overtime including weekends and on public holidays.
Ability to work in a team and independently.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
